Dear Netters, we are going to build a 16 to 32 transputer network and therefore we are looking for a good and inexpensive solution. Unfortunately we didn't get many offers yet. The system should consist of a rack with several totally dynamically configurable (or piped, the remaining links dyn conf) motherboards for 32 size-2 Trams. The rack shouldn't be to heavy or huge in order to be transportable. On the other side we would like to have a host transputer in a Microvax 3500 (Qbus, Ultrix, not VMS) with at least 12, ev 16 M RAM. The required software will be Fortran, Occam and the ability to mix both of them.
