The Ohio State University (OSU) and Meiko Scientific Corportation have recently completed a port of Ohio Trollius to the Meiko In-Sun product line. The work is incorporated into the official Ohio Trollius release software. Meiko customers who are interested in Ohio Trollius are not faced with a porting effort but only a simple installation. Also, Ohio Trollius licensees interested in Meiko hardware can get an immediate and complete solution. Ohio Trollius cooperates with Meiko's Virtual Computing Surface (VCS) software and can therefore co-exist with CSTools and TDS. Multiple users can be concurrently running a mixture of these three environments on separately allocated node domains. We have found VCS to be particularly strong in a multi-user environment. Right now, the only supported compiler suite is the Logical Systems Transputer Toolset (LSTT), which can be acquired through OSU. OSU plans also to support Meiko compilers in the near future. OSU plans to directly support other hardware platforms in the near future. -=- Greg Burns gdburns@tbag.osc.edu Trollius Project Leader (614) 292-8492 Research Computing The Ohio State University Trollius Factory Outlet 3.0: The Big Picture
