[comp.sys.transputer] What is a T.Node

MARCADET@FRESE51.BITNET (12/21/90)

The T.Node is a loosely coupled machine based on transputers.

It has been develop by the Esprit P1085 project, which involved R.S.R.E,
Inmos, ThornEmi CRL, University of Southampton, University of Liverpool,
Aptor, University of Grenoble and Telmat Informatique.

It is distributed by Telmat, and perhaps by some other companies.

The architecture is reconfigurable by the use of electronic switches.
It offers a range of 8 to 1024 transputers.

The one we use has only 8 T800/1Mb plus a T800 which controls
the electronic switch and the connection with the host, a PC with
a B004 card.

I realize that I was wrong about the Macintosh II card: it is a
Levco card.
