Re the copy penalty discussion... copying may take time *BUT* on a transputer it can take place *in parallel* The problem with speeding up the transputer links is that however fast you make them faster will always be better - just like CPU's. Since the faster your links get the finer the granularity of parallism you can use - and the less memory per processor you will need (use the money saved to buy more processors - HECK NO! buy a porche instead - you've earned it !)
