ENSCO, Inc. is a signal and information, research and systems engineering
company that was formed in 1969.  ENSCO's capabilities span a wide
spectrum of applications and cover the areas of problem definition,
requirements analysis, design studies, basic and applied research,
prototype development, commercial and MIL-SPEC hardware and software
systems development, field installation, testing, operations and
maintenance, and independent validation and verification.

An opportunity currently exists for an individual with
a strong analytical and software development background
to implement advanced sonar signal processing algorithms
on a distributed, MIMD parallel processing system.  Previous
experience in developing algorithms on parallel processors is
highly desirable.

The individuall will be joining a team of engineers and
scientists who conduct research and develop systems in the
areas of seismology, radar, neural networks, computer vision,
and knowledge based systems.  Successful candidates will hold a B.S/M.S.
in Engineering, Computer Science, or Applied Math and have 1-5 years
experience in advanced software development using C/Unix.  Experience in
X windows a plus.
 
It is intended that the successful applicant begin
working on or about April 15, 1991.  The individual must reside in
the Washington, D.C. area (no moving expenses will be budgeted
for this position). U.S. citizenship is required.
