I am interested in novel uses of the alt instructions of the transputer.
It seems that various similar constructs may be efficiently implemented
by careful use of these instructions. Unfortunately the published literature
seems deliberately vague about this set of instructions, giving not exactly
exhaustive detail.
If anyone knows how these things work in detail, or could point me at some
references I would be grateful. It is possible that the vagueness has arisen
as the implementation may change. This does not greatly concern me as
long as I know what the current implementation(s) are and on which devices
they are found.
