[comp.editors] Well-behaved editor for PC needed

spcecdt@ucscb.UCSC.EDU (Space Cadet) (09/04/88)

I've been playing with the ctty command included in command.com for DOS.
It would be convenient for me to be able to edit files on my system from a
remote terminal that has been made the console by this command. Unfortunately,
it seems that this only affects stdin, stdout, and stderr (as one might
expect). I have versions of ed and ex that work, but would rather have a full
screen editor or at least something that acts like vi in 'open' mode. Does
anyone know of an editor for DOS that uses only the standard streams, and uses
ANSI codes for full-screen editing?
