I posted this on net.micro.pc a couple of weeks ago, but saw a query lately on net.micro for source code for a 6502 cross assembler, so I'm posting it here, too. ----------------------------------------------- Some of you out there may have old 6502 based single board systems like the KIM, SYM, JOLT, AIM, etc. and would like to generate code for them on your PC. Inexpensive cross assemblers for the 6502 and the 8048 are available from: Speech Technology Incorporated 16321 176th Avenue NE Woodinville, WA 98072 Here are some of their characteristics: 1. Supports a subset of the 'C' preprocessor commands 2. Macro capability (through use of DEFINE). 3. Multiple statements per line. 4. Supports three object file formats (Intel Hex, MOS Technology hex, and binary). 5. Absolute code generation only. 6. Source code available (in C). 7. Powerful expression parsing (17 'C' like operators). 8. Compatible with the Apparrat PROM blaster for inexpensive PROM programming. Prices are: TASM65 - A 6502 Assembler. $30.00 ppd. TASM48 - An 8048 Assembler. $30.00 ppd. Both, with source code (in C) $75.00 ppd. Note: I am affiliated with Speech Technology Inc. and am highly biased. -- Thomas N. I saw a 6502 cross assembler in C floating across net.source a while back. Perhaps it is archive somewhere. Contact the moderator of mod.sources for more details. -- - Ralph Internet: ralphw@c.cs.cmu.edu (cmu-cs-c.arpa) Usenet: ralphw@mit-eddie.uucp Fidonet: Ralph Hyre at Fido #385 Pitt-Bull (or maybe Net 129, node 0) Snail Mail: don't bother
