Well the saga continues: In this corner we have
USR Courier 2400
------------------------------------ $350 --------------------------
300/1200/2400 baud Hayes Compatable
Very intellegent Tone/Pulse
And in this corner we have
SB180 Mosart (Based on the XFC1203 chip)
----------------------------------- $350 ---------------------------
110/300/1200 baud Speech Synthasis on/off phone
Tone/Pulse Tone/Pulse Decoding
Voice Detection Call Progress
How useful is 2400? How soon does one suspect 1200 will die out.
Remember the 300/1200 switch. Look at the XFC 1203 chip in Nov. Byte.
Nice chip! Will 2400 really provide future capability or are we still
choosing a standard here.
