Just a small question about "vi". I know that ^L will cause a document to go to the next page. And when you want certain things to be on pages of thier own this is great. Ok so now the question: is there a way in "vi" to have the ^L placed every 60 lines automatically so that you can tell when producing a large document where your page breaks should be???? With respect to placing a ^L every 60 lines, you can just pipe your file through an appropriate pr command, as in: 1G!Gpr -f -l60 -t Doing this with straight ex commands would be more difficult. (Let's see, how WOULD one do this with just ex commands?) -- Daniel Pommert email.internet: pommert@uiuc.edu email.bitnet: daniel@uiucvmd phone: (217) 333-8629 post: DCL Rm, 150 1304 W.
