I have almost-perfect terminfo and termcap entries for an ibm3151. However, each has an annoying problem of its own: a) the terminfo entry has the following problem in vi: deleting a line (except the last line(s) of the file) results in the line being marked with '@' rather than moving up the rest of the file to overlay it. b) the termcap lacks the above problem (works OK under vi on BSD) but has a different one: scrolling upward using ctrl-u scrambles the screen. The cursor doesn't move upward, and each line in the scroll range in turn overlays the current line. The terminfo entry does not have this problem. Can anybody point me to the appropriate capnames that are the culprits? I've converted the termcap to terminfo using captoinfo(1) and compared the differences using infocmp(1), but there are a lot of differences so it's tough to isolate. The obvious ones seem to match... Or, if anybody has working ibm3151 termcap and terminfo, that would be nice. The terminfo in question was copied from an IBM RT. Thanks in advance. -- Alan S.
