I'm looking for papers, books, clues, hints, and examples of how to handle regular expressions for use in an editor. Something similar to the EMACS Cookbook would be great or RegExpr 101. - ant -- __ "Those who love seek a philosphy _ . .-|- / _\ . . |_ _. _ _ . . and, because of this, are fond of (_\ |\| | |(_/ |\/| |\ _\ o (_ (_) |\/| solitude." _Musashi_ bk2 p224 Mortice Kern Systems Inc. 33 King St. N., Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, N2L 6W9

MicroEmacs has regular expression mode, I'm not sure what you're looking for. There have been some regular expression matchers posted to the net, if you're looking for examples of how. Look in the grep code, for one. -- bill davidsen - davidsen@sixhub.uucp (uunet!crdgw1!sixhub!davidsen) sysop *IX BBS and Public Access UNIX moderator of comp.binaries.ibm.pc and 80386 mailing list "Stupidity, like virtue, is its own reward" -me
