I propose a news group for vegetarians. Is there any interest out there? -- Jonathan G. Bressel bccvax!linus!jgb

I like the idea of discussing vegetarian issues and exchanging recipes but I feel that this would fit nicely into net.cooks which already exists. The volume of traffic in net.cooks is relatively low so that the additional news items wouldn't really be a problem. -- Darrell McIntosh AT&T Information Systems Laboratories, Denver (303) 538-1376, {ihnp4|hogpc}!drux3!darrell

#R:linus:-54200:hp-dcde:22500004:000:524 hp-dcde!jack Dec 30 16:03:00 1983 But vegetarianism doesn't fit as a subgroup of net.cooks. There are vegetarians such as myself who believe that killing animals is wrong (and for whom vegetarian is an accurate, but overly restrictive name). We are not interested in merely discussing carrot recipies, but other issues such as philosophy and non-leather goods, etc. Putting this as a subgroup of net.cooks would be as bad as creating net.cooks.judaism, just because some Jews are interested in a kosher diet. -Jack Applin (hplabs!hp-dcd!jack)

Ho hum. I've already unsubscribed to net.vegies. -- Jeffrey Mattox, Heurikon Corp, Madison, WI {harpo, hao, philabs}!seismo!uwvax!heurikon!jeff (That path is correct, desipte what the headers might show.)
