Since I also dislike vi for everyday simple editing, I created a little remapping file, so that vi behaves like a simple (very simple) DOS editor. It's got some minor bugs, but generally speaking, most keys work as advertised on the enhanced PC keyboard - home is beginning of line, end is the end of line, backspace is backspace, etc. Most of those keys work exactly the same regardless of "mode", so user can do home, end, PgUp and so on, without worrying about hitting Esc first. Some keys are mapped to resemble Wordstar (Ctrl-Y, Ctrl-T). some function keys are assigned arbitrarily, based on my liking. It also has a simple help screen. Again, it is very rudimentary. If anyone is interested, please email me, and I will email those files back to you. Tony
