No, I don't want to edit idiots. I am looking for a very simple editor for non-computer users. I would prefer source since I may need to support it in both DOS and Unix environments. Ideally it should be able to use function keys (on PC keyboard or terminal) and show labels at the bottom of the screen that describe what the function keys do. This is what defines a "self-documenting" capability, and makes it useable for novices. Most of my target audience probably has some experience with DOS word processing packages, but would rather not type at all if they didn't have to. I think the information I can give them access to will motivate them, but I want to lower barriers to access. If they have to use vi or emacs, we will never get them online. Any pointers greatly appreciated. -- Rich Goldschmidt: uunet!fjcp60!golds or golds@fjc.gov Commercialization of space is the best way to escape the zero-sum economy.
