I wanted to thank everyone who responded both by mail and on the Net in response to problem I was having with Crosstalk dropping characters during remote login. As it turns out it is the Quadram board that is causing the problem. This is the 384k board with Quadmaster III software. In particular it is the Qspool software that is causing the problem. When Config.sys is set without any Qspool software then everything works fine. As soon as you set the device in the Config.sys file to use any of the three possible Qspool programs it causes xtalk to fail. As an addon I noticed that pc-talk III also locks up with the new Quadram board. This is with or without Qspool set. If anyone out there is a Quadram spokesmen please let me know what can be done. I have a way around the problem using batch files and rebooting but it is a real hassle. Is there a fix? Jack Fine Voice phone 916-648-5985 ww
