[sci.psychology] Hypnosis

Ummmm...forgive me if I am about to mention something that has already
come up in this thread (I haven't read them all yet) but there seem to
be a great deal of references to hypnosis as a way of accessing memory.
The problem is that current research tends to regard hypnosis more as a
generator of experience rather than a revealer. The slightest inclinations
to lead the subject by the hypnotist will give the results that the
hypnotist desires, not neccessarily an accurate recollection. Also, has
anyone directly addresed the implicit questions about "perceptual worlds"
involved in this issue?
