[sci.psychology] microcephaly

jdubb@bucsf.bu.edu (jay dubb) (04/27/91)

I am posting this for a friend of mine who doesn't have access
to USENET, so please respond directly to mlevin@jade.tufts.edu.

Does anyone have any information about (or preferably, references
to papers about) the condition known as microcephaly (or is it
hydrocephaly?) where large parts of the brain are missing (the cranium
is filled with fluid), and yet the person can have above-average IQ
etc.? I am specifically interested in the paper (to which I can't seem
to find the citation) called "Is Your Brain Really Necessary?" -
anyone knows where it's from?
