Today, for a change of pace, instead of posting info from an interview with you-know-who, I'm posting some interesting sections from a couple of interviews with Madonna: "I was my father's favorite. I knew how to wrap him around my finger." She says that if anyone merchandises a Madonna doll it will need the following characteristics: hair which doesn't need combing and a vocabulary including "stop pulling my hair", "leave me alone" and "how much money do you make?". She once said of losing her virginity: "I thought of it as a career move." "Bruce Springsteen was born to run. I was born to flirt." She recently admitted that she'd "like to see every teenage girl in America dressed up like me". "I couldn't be a success without also being a sex symbol." "My first pop idol was Nancy Sinatra. Go-go boots, miniskirt, blond hair, fake eyelashes -- she was cool." "I loved Brigitte Bardot, especially in 'Contempt'. She kept saying 'Do you love me? Tell me what is beautiful about me.' I can relate to that totally because I really care about the way I look." "If I were a girl and knew me, I'd want to dress like me." "Crucifixes are sexy because there is a naked man on them." "All those men I stepped all over to get to the top, everyone of them would take me back because they still love me and I still love them." Tell us all about love Madonna! -Doug Alan nessus@mit-eddie.UUCP (or ARPA)

This is success? In normal times of past yesterdays, she would have been booed off the stage. Remember the remark by the Beatles? If this kind of attitude is worshiped by our youth, then God help us all.> > "All those men I stepped all over to get to the top, everyone of > them would take me back because they still love me and I still > love them." > Stepped all over? Didn't she mean slept all over? Oh well, same thing. I believe poor Madonna has sex and love confused.

["I cannot sit and let something happen I'll regret"] Holy shit!!! I've provided fuel for Ray Frank! I'm really sorry folks.... I really I am! I don't want my opinions to be associated with his assinine views in any way. My only consolation is that if he knew what music I do like, he'd hate it even more than Madonna (probably much more). > [From Ray Frank:] >> "Crucifixes are sexy because there is a naked man on them." > This is success? The Beatles by far transcend your god, Ray. > "All those men I stepped all over to get to the top, everyone of > them would take me back because they still love me and I still > love them." > >> Stepped all over? Didn't she mean slept all over? Oh well, same thing. >> I believe poor Madonna has sex and love confused. No, Ray, she meant stepped all over. Who gives a shit if she she slept with every man, woman, dog, and cat in the entire state of Oklahoma? That would be nothing but her own business. What's objectionable is that she manipulates and hurts people and then has the audacity to brag about it! Blech!
