I've tried to make the weekly recipes appear faithfully on time every week, but last week I blew it. I've moved into an apartment while my house is being repaired, and chaos is everywhere. Last week there was no issue of alt.gourmand, and the week before that I managed to let a completely unproofread recipe slip out (shu-mei). This week I'm republishing the shu-mei recipe with the corrections, and also turning up the rate of flow from the queues. The limiting factor here is my ability to edit and proofread recipes; the reason I've been sending out only two a week is that I haven't had time to get more prepared. I now have a comfortable queue, so I'm off to New Zealand for 2 weeks while the queues automatically emit recipes into the network. I promise that as soon as I get back from New Zealand I will get to work on making the new version of the software available, so that those of you who are not old-time readers of this newsgroup will be able to format and print the recipes. The old software is still available from the archive server, and it more or less still works (though you'll have to go through and fix newsgroup names). I'll post the new software as soon as I get it ready for release.
