My mother makes these, I don't know where the recipe is from. .IH "makes 30\-40" .IG "2 cups" "quick or instant oats" "150 g" .IG "1 cup" "brown sugar (packed)" "200 g" .IG "\(12 cup" "melted butter" "100 g" .IG "\(12 tsp" "vanilla" "2.5 ml" .PH .SK 1 Mix oats and brown sugar, mix in butter and vanilla. .SK 2 Divide mixture evenly in 2 ungreased .AB "8-inch" "20-cm" square pans, spread evenly. Bake at .TE 375 190 for about 10 minutes or until it looks golden-brown. Squares will be soft, but will harden when cool. .SK 3 Allow to cool for 5 minutes, then mark in squares with a sharp knife.
