Wigilia is eaten after sundown on Christmas Eve. .IH "Serves 4\-6" .IG "6 cups" "boiling water" "1.5 l" .IG "1 tsp" "salt" "5 ml" .IG "3 cups" "egg noodles" "300 g" .IG "2 Tbsp" "butter," "30 g" melted .IG "12 oz" "poppy seed cake and pastry filling" "400 g" .IG "1 tsp" "vanilla extract" "5 ml" .IG "1 tsp" "lemon juice" "5 ml" .IG "1\(12 tsp" "grated lemon peel" "7.5 ml" .IG "1/3 cup" "raisins" "50 g" .PH .SK 1 Combine boiling water and salt in a large saucepan. Add noodles and cook until tender, then drain and cool. .SK 2 Toss noodles with butter in the saucepan. .SK 3 Combine poppy-seed filling with vanilla extract, lemon juice and lemon peel, and raisins. Add to noodles and mix well.
