A few months ago there were a number of articles posted discussing the then newly-released Novix NC4000 Forth chip. I am currently involved in a project which requires an extremely high-speed programmable controller, and the NC4000 sounds like it might be just the thing. Does anyone out there have any real experience with the chip? I seem to recall that there was an evaluation board available for the IBM-PC; anyone actually get one? How hard is it to design the support hardware (memory, IO, etc) around the NC4000? The original was supposed to run at 8 Mhz, with faster versions to follow; have any of those emerged? Thanks in advance for any real-life info, Michael Cain Bell Communications Research ..!bellcore!python!michael (201) 758-2253
