bishel@mcnc.org (Geoffrey R. Bishel) (04/01/88)
say, how do you do that cool stuff like make it so my "sender" (or whatever it's called) line doesn't sound so damned foolish, and read something like "bishel@booboo.mcnc.org (Geoffrey R. Bishel)". I mean jeez, it sounds like I wear plastic pocket protectors in my shirts all loaded down with mechanical pencils, a combination pen and highlighter, and a penlight. Do you guys do those signature lines at the end each time by hand or do you somehow bring it up from a file? Pardon my ignorance, but a unix guru I'm not. I'm pretty dog-gone happy just to type right most of the time. Okay, go ahead and bash the greenhorn, but is there any documentation describing how to run all the fun bells and whistles in this news stuff. MCNC just gives out a staid little packet telling you how to do the very basics of news (so you can conduct business no doubt.) Thanks for any and all help, and if you're gonna flame me for being ignorant then bite the wax tadpole. :-) _____ _____ _____ _____ _____ | | | | | | | | | | | | | -- | | -- -- | | | | | | | | | | | | | | ----- ----- ----- it ain't much of a signature, but it's mine.
