I routinely run hard disks in both vertical and horizontal mountings, and as long as they are not too hot to comfortably touch, there is not much likelyhood of warpage due to heat being a factor. If you plan to run electronic gear in an environment that can get that hot, all bets are off. ..Dick.. -------
