We are beginning to look at upgrading our IBM PC lab. Recent ad's have promoted numerous (inexpensive) AT (and/or XT) clones. I am looking for those with experinece using these machines. In particular, I need machines that have been used in a heavy-duty academic environment. This means many "vigorous", inexperienced users sharing machines. I am particularly interested in information about reliability, maintainability including spare parts availability (we do our own maintenance) and compatibility with such software as Autocad and PC Ansys.
