Recently, Kenneth Wall asked about "the National Gay Task Force AIDS Information Hotline". In article (1146) 20 Aug 89, kelvin wee replied that rumors reported NGLTF "out of business and broke". I'm happy to report that The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, while perennially strapped for funds, is NOT out of business. They tell me this morning that they once had a gay crisis line (since taken over by another organization), but they have never had an AIDS Hotline. (The federal government does have one, and there are many local ones.) -- Rodney Hoffman

To those who replied to my misinformed statement that NGLTF was broke and out of business, I thank you. I am extremely pleased to find out that they are still around to help us, it will be a big relief to the many groups I work with here. If anyone has information about how local groups can help, please let us all know. I am sure that we can all get together to get some funds for NGLTF. It's important that they stay around for ever and continue the great work they have done. Kelvin Wee From: kwee@spencer.cs.uoregon.edu (kelvin wee) Path: spencer!kwee
