The First Annual AIDS Awareness Walkathon '89 Co-Sponsored by the Hyacinth Foundation AIDS Project, and the Women's Studies Program at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. Sunday, October 22, 1989! A 10 kilometer (6.2 miles) walk from Douglass Campus of Rutgers in New Brunswick, NJ, around New Brunswick, and back to Douglass. Sign-in at 11am, Opening Ceremony at 12:30pm, and Walkathon begins at 1pm. All proceeds from sponsorships will be donated to the Hyacinth Foundation.
