I believe GLQ223 is also called Compound Q. This drug is currently
under close study. CD4 has been studied for several years, and there is quite
a bit of lit. on it... You could check through recent issues of Aids Treatment
News [ATN] for details.

If you can get them to give you a copyright release to post their
article in electronic form for distribution around the world to people that
would not be able to buy Hustler on the news-stand, I'm sure it would be
interesting...

Has anyone heard about GLQ223 or CD4-lgG?

The Oct Hustler had a article about both of these drugs, and saying
that a cure may be around the corner. GLQ223 will rout out and kill only the
infected or damagted cells. In the test tube, GLQ223 destorys only cells with
the HIV virus, leaving healthy cells alone. If anyone wants I will type the
article in as a ASCII file and u/l it. Just let me know.

The following excerpts appeared in PMAC Advertising Supplement:

"Another product of biotechnology recently introduced in Canada is
recombinant erythropeoitin, a natural human hormone which stimulates the
production of red blood cells in bone marrow to treat leukaemia resulting
from kidney failure. Future applications could include treatment of
anaemia in other conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, cancer and Aids."

has anyone had any experience with this ? with what results ?

The article goes on to say :

"Worldwide, some 80 medicines using genetic engineering are under
development by the pharmaceutical industry. Cancer is the main focus of
biotechnology research, with 45 products being tested for cancer or
cancer-related conditions. There are 14 products being tested for AIDS or
Aids-related illnesses. Twelve vaccines are being tested for hepatitis B,
malaria and the AIDS virus. Major categories of biotechnology products in
development include monoclonal antibodies (21), vaccines (12), interleukins
(9) and interferons (8)."

can anyone tell me the name of the vaccines currently being tested for
Aids?
