I just got back from the doctor's office. My T-cells dropped from 585 to 339
and the percentage of T-Cells drop to 14%. My doctor gave me a diagnoisis of
ARC and I'm very confused. Scared and confused.
He immediately started me on AZT 5 times a day taken with Acyclovir. Then he
sent me over to set up an Aerosol pentamadine appointment and they immediately
put me in the chair and started me on my first treatment. Everything has just
been moving so fast.
I'm real confused, the term ARC confuses me because I'm really not sure what an
AIDS Related Condition means, why all of a sudden. I know there are a lot of
people out there who have gone thru this, that is why I am writing. I've been
in AA a long time so I went to a meeting before I came home, but even there,
all I could do is sit with a stunned look all over my face.
Where do I go from here, and how do I processes these feelings. I would
appreciate some sharing of your experiences.
