A new free pamphlet has some good advice on avoiding AIDS risks when
traveling overseas.

"AIDS and International Travel" stresses that countries overseas may
require AIDS testing for travelers. It also warns, for travelers who
have the virus, many overseas locations are ill-equipped to monitor
the disease; sterile needles may not be provided, and some countries
do not require donated blood to be screened for the virus.

... [bits removed described other cautions to take, like insuring that
syringes come from sterile packs, etc.]

The pamphlet was published by Council Travel, with Stanford
University's Cowell Student Health Center and the San Francisco AIDS
Foundation. For a free pamphlet, call the Valley Council Travel office
at (818) 905-5777, or (213) 208-3551.
