I need to buy a printer to work with Final Word II on my XT and would like some advice on what printers work well and which ones don't. I will be producing letters, articles, etc. and drafts of my dissertation, although the final copy of the dissertation will be done on a laser printer so I probably will not be producing a very long document that has to look perfect and have fancy formatting. I need a printer that is either letter-quality or near letter-quality (like the Proprinter) without costing a fortune, i.e., the QuietWriter is a bit too expensive at about $1,000. About $500+ is more reasonable. FW II supports many different kinds of printers, but there clearly are differences in the way various features are handled, i.e., fonts, footnotes, etc. While some of these problems may be controllable, I would like to know which printers allow for maximum control, and have good quality output with Final Word II. /Janet Asteroff reply to: us.jfa@cu20b -------
