I used to think people who claimed that the government found a cure for this or that but covered it up were just paranoid. Now, though, with the way the FDA is dragging it's feet about getting experimental drugs to people who are going to die anyway, I'm beginning to view OUR government like I used to view the USSR's. Dishing out what they want us to believe. Maybe I was naieve to not think this way sooner, or maybe I'm paranoid. I was talking with my HIV+ friend 'Dean' yesterday, he's about to get compound Q treatments, and I was telling him that it's good enough to just buy himself time, because a cure is just around the corner...And I said if they can figure out a way to rid the body of the HIV virus, then they will probably also inadvertantly find a cure for herpes and the common cold etc... He then said that the drug companies would never allow that to happen because they would stand to lose alot of money...etc... The thought that a company would supress a much needed disease fighting drug or procedure for the simple reason that they would lose money in the long run, thus causing thousands or millions of people to die and suffer needlessly made me sick. Is this happening? Am I just getting paranoid? Could the government or a corporation really stop something so important and shut everybody up about a real cure, if one was found?
