this friday i learned that my antibody status was erroneously recorded on my medical record (in fact, i haven't been tested for HIV exposure by this organization at all). a phone call to the office where the transcription from hand-written records to an on-line system has confirmed the error in transcription, and they have promised to correct the error within 72 hours (thus, when i turn up on tuesday afternoon it's supposed to be fixed). i have learned that i can get a copy of this record by turning up at their records department with appropriate ID (i expect the record i am given then is the on-line version and not copies of the hand-written originals). i plan on doing this. some unanswered questions i expect to put to the head of their records department include "who had access to this erroneous record?" ... i wonder exactly what else i need to be thinking about when i go to these people with questions. # Henry Mensch / <henry@garp.mit.edu> / E40-379 MIT, Cambridge, MA # <hmensch@uk.ac.nsfnet-relay> / <henry@tts.lth.se> / <mensch@munnari.oz.au> # via X.400: S=mensch; OU=informatik; P=tu-muenchen; A=dbp; C=de
