Hi, Access to UseNet and email in Ireland isn't very widespread outside of universities but a service has now been set up whereby somebody can use a PC and a modem to connect onto a mainframe to access these services. How valuable do people think that sci.med.aids is to an AIDS support group? The reason I ask is that I'm wondering if I should encourage the local AIDS support group (Dublin AIDS Alliance) to pay money (50 pounds, about US$85) to gain UseNet access. Similarly, are there many AIDS related groups around the world with email access? So can anybody give me an idea of how invaluable UseNet and email have been in keeping abreast of current AIDS research and news? Email or followup as you wish. I'll summarise if there is interest. Thanks in advance. Ciaran. -- Ciaran McHale "An inappropiate joke for every occasion" Department of Computer Science, Trinity College, Dublin 2, Ireland.
