interesting questions about what sort of dose-response
relationship there is in blood-to-blood transmission of HIV
infection.
It has shown up an assumption on my part that such a
relationship exists, an assumption which I cannot back up
with any references.
I hope that someone will be able to address this issue
definitively.
It does seem to be a reasonable assumption in light of
the relaively lower risk from needlestick injuries compared
to blood transfusions with HIV+ blood.
