First - thanks to folks who responded to my question! It would seem to me that it might be important to trace HIV back. Maybe it was a less destructive infection at one point and we could discover what made it change to what we have now. I was thinking maybe another virus teams up with HIV to create a more serious infection. I probably am offering very simplistic ideas! I get so frustrated that this disease is still with us and hurting so many people.
