                              TRUE STORIES

A computer-based health education program on communication skills and
STD prevention for ages 12-16.

TRUE STORIES is an innovative approach to promoting effective
communication among young people. It challenges users to resolve "real
life" situations where peer pressure, indecision, drug use, or
misinformation might lead to exposure to sexually-transmitted diseases,
including HIV/AIDS. TRUE STORIES can be a valuable tool in teaching the
connection between the facts about disease transmission and one's own
behavior.

TRUE STORIES has been reviewed and approved by the Washington State
Department of Health as a supplement to certified health-education
curricula on HIV/AIDS and sexually transmitted diseases.

The TRUE STORIES program together with a complete Teacher's Guide, is
now available for either IBM compatible or Apple Macintosh systems.

TRUE STORIES requires either an IBM PC or compatible system with 512K
RAM and a color monitor and graphics adaptor, or an Apple Macintosh
MacPlus, Classic, SE, LC, or MacII series computer with 1MB RAM.

TRUE STORIES is available from the Education Department, AIDS Prevention
Project, 1116 Summit Ave., Seattle, WA, 98101. A contribution of $3.00
per copy is requested to defray the cost of materials and mailing. For
more information call 296-4999.
