[comp.protocols.ibm] Hyperchannel into IBM mainframes

Does anyone know if there is a product/company that enables
one to connect a hyperchannel directly into an IBM mainframe
bypassing the communication processor/frontends ?

The basic Hyperchannel system is, and always has been, channel-attached; i.e,
directly to the IBM mainframe - just like the communication "front-ends" such
as 3705 et al.
