Computer Software Copyright Protection The "Structure, Sequence and
Organization" and "Look and Feel" Questions Notice of LaST Frontier Conference
Despite litigation and statutory and administrative action, controversies
persist regarding the nature and scope of copyright protection for computer
software. Two significant current legal questions are:
+ Protectability of the structure of the underlying programs (sometimes
termed the "structure, sequence and organization" question.)
+ Protectability of user interfaces (sometimes termed the "look and feel"
question.)
The Center for the Study of Law, Science and Technology (CeSLaST), Arizona
State University College of Law, is convening a LaST Frontier Conference to
deal with these two questions. The Conferees will include:
