I want to reduce the traffic load over my single CTC to another VTAM SSCP.. Is there any restriction on adding another CTC to both of my VTAM domains for load balancing over two channels... Any ROUTING issues that I need to consider (i.e COS etc.) Thanks for whatever info you can give.. Don Smith GE-Research and Development NOTE: These are REAL CTC's

Any ROUTING >issues that I need to consider (i.e COS etc.) There is only one restriction: it can't be done. You can't connect 2 SSCPs with more than one "channel" TG. If you try to define two CTCAs, both of them are being defined as TG1, so only one of them can actually be working at a certain point in time. (Incidentally, the funny thing is that under most circumstances you *will* be able to define and sometimes even ACTivate both CTCAs - but rest assured only one of them really works.. I worked like this for over two months, being positive that I'm making the best out of my two CTCAs - until an IBM SE that insisted on "it can't be done" forced me to check - and guess what I found, to my - or IBMs - disgrace..). Note: this only talks about connecting of two specific SSCPs with more than one channel-attachment TGs. Obviously one SSCP can talk to more than one CTCA - if their "other ends" are connected to different SSCPs. Doron
