[comp.protocols.ibm] 3278 Model 4 Woes

ERIC@ETSU.BITNET (Eric Job) (02/02/89)

I just obtained an IBM 3278 Model 4 terminal for my office to replace
a Telex 078 (3278 Model 2). It's really nice because it displays 43 lines.
(We are running VM/SP Rel 5.) My problem is that I also have an IBM
PS/2-50 with their 3278/79 Emulation Adapter/A and the PC3270 Emulation
Program v1.2. I had alternated between the old terminal and the PC using
an ABC switch.

When I got this new terminal, I thought this might be a problem. Obviously,
the PC3270 Emulation cannot handle the Model 4 data stream. Does anyone
out there know of a 3270 emulation for the Micro Channel machines that
can emulate the 3278-4 (or how to make this one work)?

Thanks for your help.
