While we're talking about the USSTABs, etc., here's one that has me stumped. If you recall, when coding MSG10, you can put several "variables" within the message, like the LU name or the keyboard input. However, in order to do this, you must use the form of the message which is within quotes and is one line long, etc. If one, instead, decides to code more (like a whole screenful), one uses the form shown in the recent VM thread where the start and end of the string are defined and hex strings can be put in the message (like screen control characters). Here's what I want to do: create a MSG10 which writes a whole screenful of information BUT also allows me to show the LUNAME variable within the message. IBM manuals don't address this, and if anything, tell you you can't use @@LUNAME in the "long form" of messages. Does anyone know a way to get around this?
