Yesterday I connected a system with SNA 3270 emulation software to an A/S 400 over an SDLC link. There was no problems with LU type 2 sessions for 3279 videos but there was a problem with the 3287 printer emultion for LU type 1. The A/S 400 did not send an end bracket or unbind to terminate the spooled list to the printer, which resulted in the document never being printed. It presumably also results in that if an other A/S 400 based appliction wants to use the printer it can't since the spooler hasen't relinquished control over the printer with an SNA unbind command. The first such "application" that comes to mind is the screen print function in the 3278 terminal. How does one set up the A/S 400 to circumvent this ? -- // ///// /// | Lars Tunkrans Distributed Resource Systems support. // /// /// | UUCP: {uunet,mcvax,munnari,cernvax,diku,inria,prlb2,tut /// /// /// | ,ukc, unido} !sunic!iclswe!lars Phone +46 (0)76096368 /// ///// /////// | ( Standard Disclaimer )
