[comp.protocols.ibm] APPC File Transfer?

richj@hpindwa.HP.COM (Rich Johnson) (12/05/89)

Questions:

Does anyone know of any APPC File Transfer applications offered by IBM or
by a third-party that runs on IBM S/370, S/3X, and AS/400? We would like
to use APPC for file transfer from our S/36 to our S/370 Host (MVS). Does
IBM offer anything like 3270 File Transfer that is built into TSO? Does
anybody have any thoughts on using APPC for file transfer?

Thanks in advance,

Rich Johnson

Spectrum Concepts, Inc. in New York City is a third party developer of APPC
applications and they have an LU 6.2-based file transfer facility called
XCOM 6.2. It runs on MVS, VM, PCs, S/38, S/36 (I believe AS/400 by now, too),
VMS, and UNIX. So you can pretty much transfer files from anywhere to anywhere
using their product.

We have a copy of XCOM62 and use it between PCs and MVS, VM.

They can be reached at: Spectrum Concepts, Inc.
				150 Broadway Suite 814
				New York, NY 10038
				212/766-4400
				212/571-6077 (FAX)

I am in no way affiliated with Spectrum Concepts.
