[comp.protocols.ibm] E-Mail for MVS

PA7280@UTKVM1.BITNET (Ben Alford) (08/02/90)

Bob Smart asks:
>We want to link some people on an MVS-like system (a Fujitsu mainframe)
>into electronic mail. We don't have a lot of money for this project, so
I'm looking at UCLAMAIL for the same type of functions. It is not in the
public domain, but it doesn't cost a lot of money either. UCLAMAIL was
designed to support RFC822-style mail. You should contact Pete Nielsen
at UCLA for further info. He is CSYSPCN@UCLAMVS.

I am looking for an implementation of TN3270 that has been modified to
support Double Byte Charater Sets (Kanji, Chinese, Hongul, etc). I
would like to know if anyone has made this product or if there is
something in the public domain.

I am interested in any OS (Ultrix, SUNos, DOS, etc.) or any one of
the above languages. Please respond to me directly. If there is a good
response I will summarize for the NET.
