Hi there Usenet.oracle! We have TCP/IP for MVS available for our Mainframes..... We have a wonderful X-windows client that does 327x emulation, including graphics. If we manage to get TCP/IP loaded on said mainframe, and can get there (we have a Token Ring <> 802.3 Ethernet gateway in place) will we be able to directly hit the mainframe with TN3270-protocol stuff? That is, is their Telnet server (telnetd in unix parlance) able to deal with "straight" SNA for all intents and purposes? (Tn3270 is nearly straight SNA running over Telnet/IP protocol). Any information welcome.... especially welcome are comments from people who are doing this! -- Karl Denninger AC Nielsen kdenning@ksun.naitc.com (708) 317-3285 Disclaimer: Contents represent opinions of the author; I do not speak for AC Nielsen on Usenet.
