I have a Convex (running Unix of course) that I would like to setup as a client of an MVS server program. The client-server protocol between MVS systems is already in place based on LU 6.2. It might be easy to port the existing client code to the Convex if LU 6.2 support is available on it. So... is there any support for LU 6.2 on the Convex available (3rd party or otherwise)? How do you link a Convex to VTAM (what hardware cards)? How easy is it to write programs using LU 6.2 using this suppport? Experiences anyone?
