I have been fiddling around with CAPS on our system and haven't been able to install it properly. We are running NIS and I have a feeling that the info in the services is not correct. The error I'm getting when running atis abInit: [ddp: 28.01, 44] starting atis: Tue Apr 30 22:55:40 1991 Reply num max for lkup reply is 5 (based on 104) atis: Tue Apr 30 22:55:40 1991 NIS: NIS socket not available: error -1: Permission denied atis: Tue Apr 30 22:55:40 1991 ECHO: ECHO socket not available: error -1: Permission denied atis: Tue Apr 30 22:55:40 1991 Couldn't establish nis or echo socket, nothing to do is the socket not defined? my services file for the Cap stuff is as follows... at-rtmp 201/udp # udp: rtmp at-nbp 202/udp # udp: nbp at-echo 204/udp # udp: echo at-zip 206/udp # udp: zip can anyone enlighten me or isn't this enough info?
