[comp.protocols.ibm] IBM 3270 <-> x3270 connectivity.

	I'm after a similar thing to Bob Irwin. Also, please note that I
	know _very_ little about IBM/SNA except for a few "magic" words
	(e.g. 3270, 3274, etc :-).

	On a [non SUN] workstation I would like to run x3270. It seems to
	talk 8-bit asynchronous EBCDIC (correct me if I'm wrong) and
	emulates a 3270 terminal. If I could just get my workstation
	connected to a 3274 (or equivalent), would I have my mainframe
	connection? As far as I can see, all I need is a _cheap_ black box
	to do the 9-bit (1 parity) EBCDIC synchronous SDLC <-> 8-bit
	asynchronous EBCDIC conversion. If my workstation could talk SDLC
	through its serial port, I wouldn't even need that?

|IBM |___|37x5|___|3274|___|black|___| w/s |

	thanks in advance ...
